Abstract Submission The main part of the 3-day symposium consists of a number of oral presentations and includes a poster section. The conference language is English. The opportunity for industry advertisement is given in the accompanying exhibition or as printed advertisements in the abstract book. Speakers are by invitation only. Unless otherwise stated, oral presentations will last 30 minutes with a subsequent 15 minutes for discussion. Speakers are kindly asked to include a general introduction to their talk to link it to others in the same section or to give a comprehensive overview of the problem addressed. Poster presentations will be accepted on the basis of an abstract assessment by the scientific committee. At the end of the symposium the three best posters will be selected. All speakers and poster presenters are requested to submit an abstract that adheres to the following guidelines: •  file format: MS Word •  maximum one A4 page •  2.5 cm top, bottom, left and right margins •  no tables and figures •  unified, simple format for the declaration of units [e.g. g/l, g/(l h)] •  1st line: title (Arial 14 bold with 1.5 spacing, left alignment) •  2nd line: authors; initials and surname (Arial 11 with 1.0 spacing, left alignment) •  3rd line: full addresses of the institutions and e-mail address of the first author (Arial 11 with 1.0 spacing, left alignment) •  following lines: text of the abstract (Arial 11 with 1.5 spacing, left alignment) •  No editing will be provided; authors are responsible for the correctness of their contributions with regard to both content and language. (NB The organisers may reject contributions where language is deemed to be below the standard required.) •  The abstracts must be submitted electronically to reach the conference secretary by the deadline of 28 February 2005 (NB deadline extended).   An example file can be downloaded here A0 portrait format panels will be available for posters.
